How to prevent users from adding columns via "Insert" on a form

Hi,

I need to set a field's visibility to "No". It worked initially as I set the form control visible and editable property to no, but when I tried added that field via the form's "3 dots" insert column option, it appeared editable with a sysgen_ control name.

Is there a way to remove this field?

We added a new tab on the LogisticsPostalAddress form with a grid using a custom table as the data source.

Hi Rahul,

It is not clear if you want to restrict this option for only one form, a particular field or all forms. Or should the access level for a field be set to read-only? You added a screenshot, but it is not clear what you want to illustrate with this.

For read only, you can set properties on the field on the table level or the data source level on the form.

In case you don't want to have the field available to users at all, you can set the visibility of the field to No as table property.

If this is not your answer, please explain the exact business requirement.

By using Insert, you created a completely new field; it has nothing to do with the field that you set as invisible. You can delete the new field from System administration > Setup > Custom fields.
