Set default values for a new Vendor

Posted on by 53
Hi,

How do I set default values for all new Vendors?... I want all newly created Vendors to have the field "Base Calendar Code" set to "WorkD"

If I look at the page "Vendor Templates" I have one template setup. In this template, I set the field "Base Calendar Code" set to "WorkD" but when I create a new Vendor it isn't populating the field "Base Calendar Code" to "WorkD".

What am I missing???

Thanks for your help

    Just add some info, hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

    Set default values for a new Vendor
    To summarise all your help... There where a few issues here...
    1. Your number series for vendors needs to have the checkmark selected for "default no." If it doesn't, then the template won't appear when you create vendors
    2. If you look on "Vendor Templates" and you have only 1 template then you are not prompted to choose which template to use when creating a new Vendor
    3. Also worth looking at "Configuration Templates"
    Thanks everyone for your help!

    Does your number series for vendors have the checkmark selected for default no. series? If it doesn't, then the template won't appear when you create vendors. That could be why its not appearing.

    @Jun Wang

    When creating a new Vendor, I am not prompted to select a Vendor template, as per you screenshot.
    I only have 1 Vendor template - see pic below.

    BC isn't using this template as the field "Base Calendar Code" is set to "RPL Work D" in the template, but when creating a new Vendor the field "Base Calendar Code" is blank / empty.

    when you click new, BC should ask you to choose a template. How does your BC behave?

    @KasparsSemjonovs

    If I look under "Configuration templates" I can see there is a template for the Vendor table (table ID 23). This table is enabled. I have added the field "Base Calendar Code" set to "RPL Work D" but as before... when I create a new Vendor it isn't populating the field "Base Calendar Code" to "RPL Work D".

    Is there anything else to check?

    Set default values for a new Vendor
    check "Configuration Templates"

    I think Vendor templates have to be applied manually each time, but Configuration templates are applied automatically (if they are Enabled).

    Hi
    What is the behavior? Select another calendar code? or does it stay empty?
    Do you have any special development? I have tested it on a US 24.0 Saas without problems. Copy the value of the field to the vendor's card.
