Hello. Can we accomplish it without customization?
We are unable to select the drop-down for the Allowed Values Filter after removing dimension 29010. We want to book to account e.g. 15050000 without requiring a mandatory code but we want to restrict all departments except 29025.
I do not want to have Code Mandatory, as I need to be able to book to specific account e.g. 15050000 with no dept/BU, but I want to disallow all Depts except 29025. Is there a way to do that?
If you only want one code to be selected you could just set it to Same Code and then the code you want to allow:
Otherwise you would need to customize or change the logic (develop an extension). Usually with dimensions I recommend just always having them required if the GL Account itself even has 1 value as allowed because it will improve your reporting. If you have a single code mixed with blanks it reduces the value of the dimension for reporting purposes.
