Hi guys,

Hope that you are doing well.

I am trying to update our vendor financial dimensions.
To be honest i want to remove one value and keep it blank, but for some reason with excel add-in "Vendor V2" entity i am receiving the following error:
Details:
A row update in data set VendorsV2 was not published. Error message: 'Write validation failed for table row of type 'VendVendorV2Entity'. Infolog: Warning: Field 'Vendor account' does not allow editing.; Warning: Invalid specification of Vendor account; Warning: Number sequence Vend_Glob does not allow change to a lower number..'

This is a bit strange because i  am updating a financial dimension in the vendor card, not creating new vendor..
From the application i am allowed to remove the value directly, but we have like 10k vendors so is no good if i go record by record in the application.
Any ideas ?

Side note.
I added all required fields in the excel add-in, but it does not look like this is helping.
Here is how the field looks like. Replacing or deleting the "tek" dimension does not work and throws the error above.
Default dimension display value
~~TEK~~~~~~~~~NonIntercompany~~BG06~~~~~~~~~~~~V000137~~

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi Adis,

    Thanks for your feedback.

I have managed to work around this, by allowing manual entries in the number sequence for the vendors.
No idea why updating vendor card requires this because vendor number remains the same.
Scope for this number sequence is global if this makes any difference.

    Hello,

Could you check the entity from the development perspective if the value is a read only property?

I had a similar case where I could change things in the app, however, it wasnt able through excel add-in, as the excel add-in uses entities for CRUD operations, it might be that the entity doesnt allow deleting or maybe only reading.

    Kind regards, Adis
