We're trying to use stocked products in Project Operations (Integrated deployment) but hit the following error when adding a product to a Material Usage log:
"The selected product is a stocked product. Stocked products are not supported in Project Operations. Select a product that is non-stocked."
Per Microsoft docs (Managed stocked products for Project Operations integrated deployments), the feature "Enable stocked products usage for project operations integrated deployments" must be activated in both Finance and Project Operations.
What we've done:
- The feature "Enable stocked products usage for project operations integrated deployments" is already enabled in Dynamics 365 Finance (Feature management).
- Went to Project Operations → Parameters → Feature Control to enable the corresponding toggle in Dataverse – but the feature does not appear in the list at all.
- Data entities are enabled and syncing data to Dataverse.
Environment:
- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations version: 10.0.47
- Project Operations Dataverse version: 4.168.3456.2
- Project Operations: Integrated deployment, dual-write enabled
Both versions are well above the documented minimums (F&O 10.0.44, Project Operations 4.161.0.x), so version isn't the issue.
We also need to bring Field Service into this environment (Field Service + Project Operations integration), and stocked-product support is a prerequisite/blocker for that work – so getting this feature enabled correctly is on our critical path.
Any guidance on the correct end-to-end process to enable stocked products (and how it fits with the Field Service integration) would be appreciated.
