I understand that BPA is available for cloud-hosted(Tier-1) and Tier-2 environments and UDE(Unified dev environment) in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. However, does BPA also support on-premises environments like installed through VHD files?
No—Business Performance Analytics (BPA) doesn’t support on‑premises (VHD‑installed) Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations environments. BPA is a public‑cloud capability that relies on Power Platform/Dataverse integration and must be installed from the Power Platform admin center against an LCS‑managed cloud environment
