Security Roles on Portal Comments

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

We need to apply some role policy to Portal comments (I believe the entity's name is "adx_portalcomment" under the "Comments" logical name, I got this from "adx_entitypermissions" or even in the same entity's form).

But when I change the roles for "Comments" on "Settings" - "Security" - "Security roles" I am still able to create and edit the comments when I shouldn't.

Any clues?

Has anybody got any Answer to this Question? Or is there any way to apply security Role Restriction only to Portal Comment.

RE: Security Roles on Portal Comments

Portal comment (adx_portalcomment) & Post comment (comment) are different entities.

Portal comment is an Activity type like Email or Phonecall, you cannot revoke access for just one activity type. This activity entity will be under core records in security role.

The comment for which you revoked access is just comment on Activity feed posts.

    Hi,

Make sure you are not member of the any other security role or team which has access to this entity.
