Upon clicking the "Calculate Inventory Value" button in the Item Revaluation Journal, a screen displays containing among other things an Item No. filter.
Apparently, this field has a character limitation of 5,000.
As nice as that sounds, that's problematic if you paste a range into this field containing many items separated by a pipe character (|).
We just now saw how several items did not successfully paste into this field during a revaluation due to this character limitation.
So, this prevented revaluation for a handful of items. We just discovered this.
Is it true that this filter field allows for only 5,000 characters? If so, why?
