The error was resolved, by importing smaller files. One entry in particular had too many characters in a field, in the past that had caused that one entry to fail. So it could have been that the entry made the file too large to import.
Ensure that your CSV file is properly formatted i.e. the column headers in your file match the schema in Dynamics 365.
Secondly, ensure that all columns in your csv are correctly mapped against the fields in D365.
