Finishing Production Order with consumption and without output

Hi. I have problem with finishing Production Order. One of order Lines has posted consumption without any output. When I try to finish order, I get error which says that finishing PO with consumption and without Output is not possible.

What can I do? I dont want to post any output for this Line. In addition, this Line is connected to subcontractor Work Center.

I want to do this only once, In this specific case. Small modification which disable this validation is risky?

The standard way to address this is to post a single unit Output from the Production Order. This will allow you to finish the Production Order (but read on first). You can then do a Negative Adjustment of the Item that was Output. We recommend applying the negative adjustment directly to the Output Line. I am assuming your consumption was by mistake, so you should know you can post a negative consumption (negative quantity) equal to what was originally posted to back out that consumption. This way your Production Order is finished without cost (assuming no backflushing).

It sounds much harder than it actually is. For a one-off mistake like this it will get the job done quickly and efficiently.
