Planning Worksheet -- One Component Part Not Appearing

(6) ShareShare

Hi:

I know that this isn't much information to go on.

But, the Planning Worksheet is suggesting purchase orders for all component part items except one.

There's no difference between that component part item and the others.

How do I determining why the Planning Worksheet isn't suggesting orders for this one item?

Thanks!

John

    Hello John,

If the Planning Worksheet isn't suggesting a purchase order for one specific item while it does for others, check the item's Replenishment System (should be set to Purchase), Reordering Policy, and Planning Parameters (like Safety Stock, Minimum Order Quantity, and Lead Time). Also, verify if there's enough stock or existing open orders covering the demand. If everything seems correct, try running the Calculate Plan function again and review Item Availability by Event to spot any discrepancies.

    Hello,

In Business Central, if the Planning Worksheet suggests purchase orders for all component parts except one, despite no apparent differences, it could be due to specific setup issues or data inconsistencies. Check the item's replenishment settings, ensure it has the correct vendor and reordering policies, and verify there are no legacy data or planning parameters affecting this item

I figured it out.  Once I ran "low level codes" in Business Central and re-ran the Planning Worksheet, the "missing" part appeared!

    Yay!

    Hi John,

You need to thoroughly examine the action messages, as the suggested quantity is provided.

    Thanks
