Removing unused Topics in Consent Center

I have been looking around on how to hide Topics for Consent Center Preferences. I couldn't find an answer and wondered if anyone else did the same thing.

For Topics, I have deactivated them using XRMToolBox, since I don't see a deactivate button. Those Topics are no longer showing on the Active Topics list.
Next for Active Contact Consent, I filtered the Topics that were deactivated and deactivated those Contact Consents.
Lastly I updated the Preference Center removing the checkboxes for the deactivated Topics.

Can anyone tell me if there is any documentation on how to manage topics or if you did the same steps?

Good morning,

I haven't come across this yet, and haven't spotted anything in the documentation so may be worth raising a ticket directly with Microsoft.

In the meantime I would have taken the above steps you have already outlined - but hopefully they introduce a cleaner way to manage this in future!
