Hi everyone,
Iām trying to understand how Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management can be used for healthcare-related inventory workflows where accuracy, traceability, and compliance are very important.
For example, in a healthcare environment, teams may need to manage medical supplies, equipment, expiry dates, batch numbers, stock movement, vendor records, and location-based inventory across clinics, labs, pharmacies, or treatment centers.
My question is: what is the best way to configure Dynamics 365 Supply Chain for this type of workflow?
A few things Iām trying to understand:
- Can Dynamics 365 handle batch tracking and expiry date management for healthcare inventory?
- What is the best approach for managing stock across multiple clinic or facility locations?
- How should approval workflows be set up for purchasing and replenishment?
- Can it connect smoothly with custom healthcare software used for patient care, billing, or internal operations?
- Are there any recommended modules, setup practices, or integration patterns for this kind of use case?
Iām not looking for a sales answer, just practical guidance from anyone who has worked on similar supply chain or healthcare inventory scenarios in Dynamics 365.
Thanks in advance.
