Issue with Batch Orders created through Data Management Framework

Hello Team,

We are facing an issue with Batch Orders created through the Data Management Framework (DMF) in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.

Issue

For Batch Orders created through DMF, after running the Estimate process, when we navigate to Manage Costs > View Calculation, the form opens but no calculation details are displayed (blank screen).

However, when the same Batch Order is created manually through the user interface and estimated, the View Calculation option displays the expected cost calculation details.

Questions

  1. Are there any additional records or initialization processes that are executed during manual Batch Order creation but not during DMF import?
  2. Are there any mandatory fields in the Batch Order data entity that impact the generation of estimation or cost calculation records?
  3. Has anyone encountered a similar issue where View Calculation is blank for DMF-created Batch Orders but works correctly for manually created Batch Orders?
  4. Is there any additional process that needs to be executed after importing the Batch Order through DMF to generate the calculation records?

Any guidance, suggestions, or references would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

    Hi Dewitt,

This can have several root causes where most likely it is indeed related to missing data. To know what might be wrong, you should compare the imported and manually created batch order. Which fields are empty or might have an incorrect value?

If you know what is missing, you can check the data import for missing source columns. Maybe some business logic is disabled, e.g. run logic on import or modified field. Can you check if the batch order has a related inventory transaction, or is that one missing?

If the batch order is created through DMF, some business logic that runs during manual creation may not be triggered. I'd compare the manually created and DMF-created batch orders in SQL/data entities and verify that all required fields for estimation and cost calculation are populated. Also check whether estimation is generating related calculation records after import.
