Happy Holidays. I have a questions related to an Address. Is there a way I can setup up the address that I can send a check to different address? For example, the primary address is 123 Main St, but the address I want to send the check to is 456 Alley Way. Is it the way to do it? I try to use Purpose as "Remit to" but that is used for the address to be printed on the check, not the address I want to send a check to. Meaning if I setup "Remit to" for "456 Alley Way", that address will show up on the check, but the address to send the check to would be 123 Main St.
The scenario for this is: a customer is living in "123 Main St", However, he's traveling and he wants to send a check to his relative, who lives in "456 Alley Way". We can send the check to the address he wants and he is also be able to cash the check later since the check has the correct address where he lives.
Would it be a way to notify or letting the Accounting team to choose the correct address to send to (in this case 456 Alley Way)? Please let me know.
I would solve this by creating a new purpose called "Check Address," or simply "Check."
That way it's possible to signify the address to accounting, but still remit to the customer or vendors primary business address. Dynamics will use the address with "Remit to" when creating customer/vendor transactions, so be careful.
Here’s an example I’ve created:
