Marketing Forms and Consent / double opt in

Hello,

i'm currently transitioning from Outbound Marketing to Real-Time Marketing.
In Outbound, i have my marketing forms (e.g. to request a whitepaper) which are hosted on an external website and they have DOI enabled, meaning when someone fills out the form, they will autmatically receive an e-mail with a DOI and once this e-mail has been confirmed, they will be sent to an external website where they can download a whitepaper. In outbound i was able to define DOI e-mail as well as redirect URL and thank you page in the form settings. This is no longer possible in real time marketing, so i urgently need a workaround.

Since in real time there's only the option for one general DOI / confirmation mail and thank you page to use in every form per compliance profile. I want to use different confirmation mails and thank you pages for different forms in the same compliance profile. There's no other option for my because of internal reasons.

My workaround would be: disable DOI for the form, create a journey with trigger form submitted for the respective form and then send a DOI confirmation mail in this journey, once someone clicked on the DOI confirmation link in the e-mail, the person will go further through the journey and then receive a second e-mail with a link to the whitepaper download. I've already tried this and have another question: how can i create a DOI confirmation link in an e-mail?

If i enable DOI in the respective form, I also have questions: If i set up a segment which checks for the consent given on a chosen form, how can i check for existing consent from the consent checkbox in the form? Which entity and attribute do i need to choose?

I really don't understand why microsoft deprecated the DOI per form option since it is really important for EU users.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi CU26051002-2,
I have a few ideas that might help with your first question—perhaps you can test them and see if they work for your use case.

If you're using a Double Opt-In Journey, you could create multiple emails and branch them based on the form submission. Each Double Opt-In email can have different content tailored to the specific form. When creating these emails, make sure to set the content type to "Double Opt-In Email" in the settings. This will enable the use of the opt-in confirmation link, which you'll need to have the confirmation link in your Email.

I haven’t tested this approach myself, but it should help you achieve the desired outcome.

thank you for your idea. I'm not sure what you mean by "Double-Opt-In Journey". There's no such type as DOI Journey. What trigger or segment should I use? Maybe you can specify your idea a little more. Also I haven't seen the option to set content type of an e-mail to DOI.

    Thank you.

    Hi CU26051002-2,

Please check the Feature switches and enable Double opt-In. Then, make sure you have Double Opt In set up for a given Compliane Profile. This will create and publish DoI Email and Journey in the background. To create new Email with Double Opt In Link, use this setting here.

Hello @Eugen Podkorytov this is a good idea, i have DOI e-mail enabled already. I can also create branches in the respective journey. But then I would need to branched based on
    1. marketing form ID to check DOI per each form
    2. if the checkbox in the form was checked or not

Do you know how to do this?
    Thank you so much.

    Hi CU26051002-2,
You can use the Attribute branch action in the journey and make condition on attribute using this Path, for example.:

However, you can still branch based on Form ID:

You should also be able to branch based on other submitted field values.
