form Adaptor extension

Hi, I have to customize the standard form 'Ledger allocation request' and add new fields in the dialog. When I check the dialog classes, it uses 'LedgerAllocationRequestFormAdaptor'  class to design the dialog, but extending this class does not support adding extra methods . Is that the right way, or am I missing anything here?

I do not see it using the Form Adaptor class. It seems to use a normal X++ class

could you not try creating extension of class LedgerAllocationRequest (not the LedgerAllocationRequestFormAdaptor)

Ignore the adaptor. It's used for working with forms in automated tests, which has nothing to do with your scenario. You're wrong in thinking that it's used to construct dialogs.

The adoptor form class is used for automated test.
I don't know why you'll need to extend it !

I just want to add some more fields and a lookup method in the parameters dialog. However, after adding the lookup method and control in the LedgerAllocationRequest extension class, the parameter dialog is not showing the lookup for the control I created.

So, I thought of checking other missing classes and found the FormAdaptor class. Anyway, I will try to fix the lookup issue.

    Thank you!

I have fixed it after creating extension the lookup method . Previously I replicated like standard methods in form control level lookup and that was not working then extension of Onlookp method on control level was working .

    Thank you alll.
