Waitlist Item records are not created when attendees join an event waitlist via the Event Portal

When an attendee clicks Join Waitlist and submits the registration through the Event Portal, an Event Registration record is successfully created with Status Reason = Waitlisted. However, no corresponding Waitlist Item (msevtmgt_waitlistitem) record is created, and the attendee does not appear in the Event Waitlist Items grid.

    Things to check
    1.Verify Event Waitlist Configuration
    Ensure the event is configured to support a waitlist:
    Enable Waitlist = Yes
    Maximum Event Capacity is defined.
    The event has reached its capacity when the registration is submitted.
    If the event is not actually full, the waitlist logic may not execute.

    Check for Customizations
    Review whether there are:
    Plugins on Event Registration.
    Power Automate flows.
    JavaScript customizations.
    Custom portal code.
