How WorkflowWorkItems-validate works in Power Automate D365 FO Connector ?

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the following OData action and how it behaves in the Power Automate D365 Finance and Operations connector:

WorkflowWorkItems/Microsoft.Dynamics.DataEntities.validate

Connector mapping in Power Automate: WorkflowWorkItems-validate, I tested this action in Postman and it always returns true even the WorkflowWorkItemInstanceId (GUID) is not valide in D365FO
In which scenarios would this action return false?

Here is the request I'm sending:

Hi @D365FO Junior-Dev,

I think :

The GUID points to a real work item, but the item is in an invalid state (e.g., canceled, already completed, not assigned to user, etc.).
There’s a workflow constraint blocking action (e.g., validation fails due to business rules in custom workflow logic).
