Controlling what tables are available in a 'Regarding' lookup

When creating a new task and selecting a record in the Regarding lookup, there are "types of records" available to choose from

I can't figure out how to control what tables are listed here. It doesn't list every table that has activities enabled.
I have the same question (0)

    How to control the list

If you want to add or remove tables from that list:

    Check “Display in Activities Menus”

Go to Advanced Settings → Customizations → Customize the System.

    Open the table.

In the Communication & Collaboration section, ensure:

    Publish changes.

Add the table to the app

Open your model-driven app in the App Designer.

Add the table to the app.

    Publish the app.

This often makes it appear in lookup lists tied to the app context.

    Check search settings

Go to Settings → Advanced Settings → Entity Settings → Quick Find View.
Make sure the table is searchable.
In Dataverse Search settings, make sure it’s enabled for search.

    Verify Security Roles

Ensure your role has Read permissions for the table.
If no access → it won’t appear.

    • I would make sure that you are System Admin and have permissions to the other tables (I'm assuming you are)
    • Try and republish some of the other tables or your solutions to see if the other options appear
    • Are you looking for an OOB table or a custom table in this list?
    • If you create a task directly from the timeline on one of these missing tables, does it work and is the regarding field populated?
    • If all else fails, make sure that the missing tables are added to your app as data?

The tables listed should be whatever you have permissions to and that have activities enabled, but maybe one of the above can help you get closer to figuring out what is wrong.

    I do have System Administrator.

OOB table, at this point I'm trying to work with Work Order in the Field Service app, and I did do a publish on the table.

I'm able to create a task from the timeline on the WO form, and it does populate Regarding.

The table is added to the app, and I turned on indexing for Dataverse search in case that mattered, and a good ol' ctrl+f5 for good measure. Pretty bewildered.

    Edit:
It also shows up under recent records in the Regarding lookup, but not the available Types of records.
