I guess my reply in your other thread, Best practices to be follow in integeration like Logic app, power automate, applies here as well.

another one that I have seen on some very large projects as well, people skipping to put the Monitoring solution in place. I have seen the cases where a failing logic app comes to attention of IT only after user complains about a business process not working anymore.
IT must automate it, so that for whatever reasons a logic app fails, someone gets alert. A better solution would be logging and monitoring in place.

    Thanks Sohaib for the response.

So, you mean to say if we are processing with huge data for the Logic app integeration, it should be captured in log file. So, that we can track the success and failure data.

    Am I correct?

    1.What about the monitoring?

2.Can I use monitoring for both Logic app and Power automate?

    Kindly explain pls.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
No, you do not need to collect data in log files, but you capture the logs and send to any place of your choice (could be sent custom tables, could be sent to platforms like azure application insights)

Power Platform components can be monitored via Application Insights.. Microsoft provides native in-built integration between the two, you can enable that setup..

For the logic apps, you can use any of the choices, such as Azure Monitor Alerts, Log analytics with manual KQL quries or Azure Apps Insights with your custom dashboards.

    Thanks Sohaib for the response.

If I configure it "Azure Monitor Alerts" for the logic apps. So, it will monitored entire integration.

Kindly let me know how we can configure it.

    Kindly elaborate pls.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi
it depends from how many platforms your flow/integration travels. Azure Monitor is a service of Azure, that collects, analyzes the monitoring data for various azure services/components (not just logic apps), once you have data in the Azure Monitor, you can use it on any platform to analayze or drive the insights

    Look at the reference image.
Diagram that shows an overview of Azure Monitor with data sources sending data, and Azure Monitor features using the collected data.

This could cover most of Microsoft tech stack. Remember that if you want to send the Power Platform Monitoring Data to Azure, you have to do this setup in Power Platform, that will keep transiting data to Azure, which you can analyze anytime.

If you are using any other ERP system (such as Dynamics 365 F&O), you can send the telemetry data to Azure App Insights, using setup in the System Admin module.
