Pay-by-Link (Adyen connector) - "Generate payment link" button disabled on Sales Order

Hi all,

I am trying to test the Pay-by-Link functionality (Pay-by-link payment with the Dynamics 365 Payment Connector for Adyen (preview) - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn) using the Dynamics 365 Payment Connector for Adyen (preview), but I’m facing an issue with the UI on the Sales Order.

Scenario

  • Environment: D365 Supply Chain Management (Finance and Operations)

  • Adyen connector configured (V003 / Client Key)

  • API communication is working correctly

  • Requests are reaching Adyen (verified in API logs)

  • Webhook configuration is set up and test is successful

  •

Issue

On the Sales Order level:

  • Manage → Credit card → "Generate payment link" is disabled (greyed out and not clickable)

    What I have already verified

    • Payment method is configured with "Allow payment by link = Yes"

    • Sales order is in Open status and has a positive amount

    • Payment service (APS) is active and correctly configured

    • Client key and allowed origins are set in Adyen

    • All required API permissions are enabled

    • No errors during API calls – integration seems fine

    Question

Has anyone encountered a situation where:

    • Pay-by-Link is configured correctly

    • but the "Generate payment link" button remains disabled on the Sales Order?

Is there any additional prerequisite (e.g. Dataverse integration, feature flag, or preview limitation) that might block this action?

Thanks in advance for any guidance

This feature requires a commerce license as mentioned on the documentation, did you have a CSU setup for the environment? I've tested this in POS and Call Center channels and it worked as expected, but I haven't tried it for an SCM sales order.
