Moving from unmanaged to managed

We have had a 365 dynamics solution since 2018 that has been unmanaged.  (Poor development by a 3rd party contractor.)

I have been maintaining this with a team this way for 8 years.  1000's of customizations.

We trying to convert all of our customizations to managed and cannot find a simple way to get a full solution together with all of our customizations.

I created a solution, used Solution Component Mover from XRM Toolbox and picked every unmanaged solution we had (450 of them), and copied over roughly 22K components.

I am now manually adding everything else, one component type at a time.  Once that is done I plan on removing anything managed = 'yes' and customized = 'no'.  I will then use this as my "managed" solution.

Is this the simplest way to do it?  I've googled, chatgpt'ed, looked through forums.  Can't really find an easier way.
