Print labels from 'On-hand list' view (D365 F&O)

Dear Madam/Sir,

Would you know how to print custom labels from 'On-hand list' view (D365 F&O)?

We are successful in printing custom labels from various views like 'Released Products' and 'Backorder purchase lines'.
Under the header 'Options' the link to print labels will become available if the right Label layout source is selected.
  • Either we do not have the right 'label layout source' ... we have tried many which seem related. Does anyone know the right data table?
  • Or the 'On-hand list' view does not allow for label printing.
Can anyone provide insight/experiences?
Thank you in advance for your time,
Koen

    Hi,

Did you get the on-hand label to work?

I get the button to display on the on hand list form but when I try to print I get this error message.

    Dear GuyUK,

Thank you for following up ... the strangest thing happened again.
Previously I did have InventSum without any option to print ... then I removed and now I just added it again (similar as to your example) and now I have the same options to print as expected.

We had this on occasion with other users where the option to print labels sometimes shows and sometimes not, weird!

    In any case, much appreciated!
    Koen

    Hi.

I don't know why it didn't work for you with InventSum. I enabled it in a standard 10.0.39 environment like this:

and the button appears just fine:

    Dear Laurens,
Thank you for your input. It seems we are a step closer, but not yet there.
I now see a print option similar as per other views, yet this option 'Print batches' is greyed out. I cannot click it.
I am trying to include a screenshot/image, but this seems to fail (or its my browser).

I am thinking it is either not the right table yet (but very close) or it has to do with the setup of the 'On-hand list' view which does not seem to allow the selection of rows as is possible within the 'Released Products' or 'Backorder purchase lines' views. You can select rows there in a separate column with coloured circles with a tickmark in them.

    Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Koen

    Hello Koen,

Can you try the table 'InventBatch'?

    Dear GuyUK,

Thank you for a quick response. I have tried 'InventSum' as the layout data source, yet the option to print (custom) labels under 'Options' does not show up. With other views the label print links show up under 'Options'. Please view screenshot below.

You seem to refer to another location at 'the button under Custom labels'. Could you share a screenshot or guide me to where I should find this?

    Thank you in advance,
    Koen

View below screenshot of label print link via 'Released Products' view.

    Hi

I think the table you need is called InventSum.

When you open the On-hand list, press Apply to load some records, and then the button under Custom labels should light up.
