Hi Community,

we would like to handle our support billing to customers through the project management and accounting module in Dynamics 365 Finance. Which project type would be most suitable in connection with billing rules, etc.? We record the hours via time tracking in the project journal, which should then be assigned to a project that can ideally be billed monthly without having to create a new project each time.

Is it possible in this context to create the project invoice in such a way that not all booked hour positions appear on the invoice, but only one position, in this case 'Support'?"

Hi,

Yes, this is possible. You can create a Time and material type of project. On the hour category you can define a Line property that indicates if the category is chargeable or not.
