Bookmarks Disappearing and Reappearing

Hi:
 
No matter which browser type is used, a couple of Business Central users are reporting that Bookmarks on the Role Center are disappearing and reappearing later.
 
In one instance, a user added the "General Ledger Setup" screen as a Bookmark.  Not too long afterward, this Bookmark would no longer appear.
 
According to them, no users deliberately turned off the Bookmark.  In any case, this Bookmark mysteriously reappeared later!
 
On one occasion, these two users tried to add a separate Bookmark.  When it didn't appear on the Role Center, they tried to add it again...and, again...and, again...  Later, several instances of this same Bookmark suddenly appeared!
 
How does all of this happen, and is there a remedy?

    I have never encountered this problem.
    However, if you bookmark a custom page/report, the bookmark will disappear after uninstalling the extension, and will reappear after reinstalling it. However, for standard functions, I have never encountered this problem.
    You can submit a SR to Microsoft to help investigate.

    This issue might be due to minor updates in Business Central. After such updates, a few bugs can occur in the system. For example:

    • The General Ledger Entry page sometimes shows errors when bookmarked.
    • When opening a new vendor or customer without selecting a template, the system may display an error related to a blank Number series.

    These issues, such as the General Ledger error and the blank page number series error, were resolved after a subsequent update. It might be possible that your issue is also a bug in Microsoft Dynamics.

    You can either wait for the next minor update or connect with the Microsoft support team for assistance.
