Hi,
Why I can't use the Find tools through all objects in AOT. I intend to search some text through all the classes but end up saying "No files were found to look in"
I go to AOT, then press Ctrl+Shift+F, then the window pop up "Find in files"
Put the text I want to search in Find What
Then Look in "All models", with include sub-folders. then "Find All"
Then nothing happen, and result is those text saying no files to look in.
Thanks
Hi all,
Actually, like Nikolaos mentioned, it used to be ok with Ctrl+Shift+F, the Find tools. I have used it long time ago, but with other company which of course different VM setting (I assumed), although it the same version of Visual Studio. I'm using 2015.
That's why my question "why can't I" Is there some setting in Visual Studio that not being turn on ?
Find reference is good, but this time I really only want to know specific word, just to know how it is being applied in coding.
Thanks,
For me it seems to work (I have actually never tried it before).
You can use Dynamics 365 > Metadata search for this purpose. Type in code:"_args" as the search string. In a real scenario, you'll likely use more specific criteria.
Also note that if you're intersted in a particular class, method, field etc, you can use Find references.
