Budget Control Configuration - Cannot reactivate after change "Budget funds available"

Hi Everyone

After the budget control configuration was configured and activated, I wanted to change the Budget funds available setting, but it failed with error message "The Budget control process didn’t work. Please try running it again. If the problem persists, contact your system administrator."

Does anyone know the "Budget funds available" how to changes/updates? I cannot change any setting in this page in reactivating.

Hi Kim,

That error usually shows up when trying to change certain parameters in an active budget control configuration, especially "Budget funds available".
To update it, try this:

Go to Budget control configuration and click Create draft

Make the change to Budget funds available

Check if your budget control rules and dimension combinations are still valid

Click Activate

If it still fails, it might be due to conflicts with existing budget entries or dimension validation. You can check Event Viewer for more detail or try the same change in a sandbox.
