Hi. I’m trying to create a data entity for a standard table (BOMCalcTrans). When I open the entity using the Excel add-in, I can’t refresh the data. The following message appears:

Can anyone help?

In addition to Martin's comment, run a DB Sync after creating the data entity and test via the browser yoururl/data and confirm you can locate your custom entity.

Event logs might give you more details.

By the way, if you're testing several things at once, you then don't know which one is to blame. What I would do now is testing the OData service directly, rather then going through Excel. Is useful to know whether it has something to do with Excel or Excel can be taken out of the question. Also, Excel may be hiding some information that would help you with debugging.
