Revenue for Cost Projects

Hello Experts,
In PMA we are using cost project, we have generated some revenue how should we post this 
cost project doesn't allow to post revenue, currenlty we are doing this by posting manual entries and want to eliminate this process
please guide me possible way to post revenue transactions and if any customization required what should be the best apporach like fee journal or free text invoice.
