Can't pass the Get started with development in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central module.

Posted on by 5

Hi,

i follow step by step with the course, and at the end it doesn't work as it should be.

Every time I write code to activate the "reward system" im getting the "Activation failed. Please check the activation code you entered." error.

But it SHOULD pass any 14 alphanumeric code i write (because of the "DummySuccessResponseTxt"

Can anyone help with that?

PS. The code is the same as in the module.

    Is this a addon or customization?

    Hi,
    I have followed the same example and To make it work you must add the information in the database directly. In the table Activation Code Information.
    Here an example

    Even with debugging I can't figure out why this code
                        if CustomerRewardsExtMgt.ActivateCustomerRewards(ActivationCode) then
                            NextStep(false)
                        else
                            Error('Activation failed. Please check the activation code you entered.');
