D365 F&O - Date fields Logic on InventTrans

Hello everyone,

i would like to understand in detail how each date field in "InventTrans" works. I have grasped the underlying logic for some of these fields, but in other cases it is not entirely clear to me. Could you confirm the details in the list below?

  • InventTrans.DateClosed: it is the closing date  following an inventory closing procedure. What date does the system use to populate this field?
  • InventTrans.DateClosedSecCur_RU: when is this field populated?
  • InventTrans.DateExpected: the date of the expected transaction, such as the delivery date for a sales order?
  • InventTrans.DateFinancial: it is populated when the transaction is financially updated to the status "Purchased" or "Sold." For purchase and sales orders, it is updated with the invoice posting date.
  • InventTrans.DatePhisical: it Is populated when the transaction Is phisically updated to the status "Received" or "Deducted". For Inventory journals like adjustment journals, DatePhysical and DateFinancial are populated at the same moment when we posting the journal.
  • InventTrans.DateInvent: when is this field populated? (example for sales order, purcase order and Inventory journals like project item journals). Is It true that the Inventory closing procedure utilizes this date for settlements?
  • InventTrans.DateStatus: when is this field populated?

Feel free to add further details or explain the functionality of these fields.
Thanks in advance.
