Issues accessing D365 Business Central API under free trial

Posted on by 8
I have a D365 Business Central API under free trial. And I want to access OData URL for "Sales and Invoices" in "Web Services" section of D365 Business Central.
But I am not able to access the OData URL. Is it possible to access the OData URL under free trail. If yes, then how.
I'm referencing the below documentation for accessing D365 BC.

As Andy mentioned there should be no problem accessing APIs from a trial environment. I have done it in the past as well.

    Hi

A quick test to check you can access ok is to use PowerBI desktop if you are in the same tenant you can use the native connector to check if in principle you have access ok:

Or use the OData source in PowerBI and set the org creds from the settings - at least then you can rule out the principle access question - will this trial let you access the APIs

If you can access OK via PowerBI - then I'd suggest this alterative article from Yun Zhn that has a step by step for setting up API via postman - the link you provided also shows SOAP and that's been depreciated for a while now I think (as it used WebService keys) some other steps might have changed...

    Hope that helps!
    A

    Hi
When you indicate that you do not have access, what do you mean, do you get an error message?
