Sales invoice ER report in D365FO

Hi team,

As per the business requirements, I need to modify “Sales invoice” report in ER.

Add new field and modify existing labels etc.

I never worked on before Electronic report. Kindly suggest me from scratch step by step.

Before posting, i did google it but not found appropriate blogs.

Pls advise, thanks

Learning Electronic Reporting (ER) – Export
To learn Electronic Reporting (ER), start by exploring the Export functionality. I recommend the following approach:
Download a standard ER configuration from the Repositories.
Open a standard ER report, such as Free Text Invoice or Sales Invoice, and experiment with changing the Destinations (Printer setup) to understand how the report output is controlled.
Learn how Attachments work in ER and how they are configured.
Once you're comfortable with the basics, create a derived configuration from an existing standard ER report and make a small customization:
Add a new field to the Model.
Provide the required mapping in Model Mapping.
Display the new field in the report using the Format.
Configure the report output and attachments, if required.
Following these hands-on steps will keep you engaged and make learning ER much more interesting. Working with an existing standard report is one of the best ways to understand how the different ER components work together. Once you're comfortable with exports, you can move on to learning ER imports.
