Daily Trial Balance Report Automation and Email Notification Requirement

Hello Community

Is there a way to automate the Trial Balance report so that it runs daily for transactions posted on the current day and automatically emails the report to designated users?

We would like to schedule the Trial Balance report to generate every day, capture all transactions posted during that day, and distribute the report via email to a predefined list of recipients without manual intervention. Please advise on the available options and recommended approach for implementing this automation.

through D365 or MR reporter.

Thank You.

Yes, this is doable in D365 F&O. The cleanest way is to use the built-in batch job scheduling on the Trial Balance report combined with Print management/email distribution:

    1. Open the Trial Balance report dialog, set the date filter to a dynamic "Today" range (not a fixed date) so it always pulls current-day transactions.

    2. In the same dialog, go to the Batch tab, enable batch processing, and set recurrence to daily.

    3. Under Print destination, switch output to email, attach it as PDF, and add your recipient list.

    4. Make sure SMTP/email parameters are configured under System administration so outbound mail actually goes out.

Management Reporter can technically schedule too, but it's older and less flexible — most people just use native D365 batch + email for this instead of MR.

If you want more custom control (different recipients per legal entity, extra formatting, etc.), you'd pair the scheduled export with a Power Automate flow, but for a straightforward "run daily, email to a list" ask, native batch scheduling is the way to go.
