Sales Quotation Delete program

Hello,

I am struggling with the Select step in the Delete Quotation program.  I want to delete all quotes for 2025 which is about 45,000.  Even if I narrow down the date range to be two or three months, the Select step takes so long to process that I can not leave it unattended (have to continue clicking the Wait prompt every 15 minutes).  I don't see a way to run the Select step as a Batch job.

Any assistance in proper/best practices way to run the Delete Quotations program would be appreciated.

    Hello,

If you're trying to delete a large volume of quotations (45,000+ records), I would strongly recommend using a Bulk Record Deletion Job instead of the standard Delete Quotations program. The Bulk Delete process runs asynchronously in the background and does not require you to keep the browser session active.

Step-by-Step: Create a Bulk Delete Job for Quotations
    1. Navigate to Bulk Record Deletion
    Open Dynamics 365.
    Click the Settings gear icon.
    Go to Advanced Settings.

    Navigate to:
Settings > Data Management > Bulk Record Deletion

    2. Create a New Bulk Deletion Job
    Click New.
Select Quotation (Quote) as the record type.
    Define your filter criteria.

    3. Test with a Small Sample

    Before deleting all records:

    • Run an Advanced Find using the same criteria.
    • Validate the record count.
    • Consider starting with a smaller date range (e.g., one month) to confirm results.

    Thank you Jimmy,

I like the sound of this.  I am not seeing the Advanced Options under the settings gear box.  My user ID is setup as as a system admin so I should see everything.

Am I in the correct spot?
