Hello Community,

Does anyone know how to change the filter options to default to filtering by "Description" instead of "Journal batch number" in the general journal and periodic journal windows?

Hello All,

I do use the custom view and save option, but when I return to that page it goes back to filtering by the journal batch number. I also receive this notification on the top banner that states the filter was unable to be applied due to security restrictions on this page?

Hi,
As Martin mentioned, you can "Save" the modification in your view so that the Description field is sorted based on the required filter.

In general, you can sort by a field and then save the query in a custom view, which you can set as the default one. I see you're already using a custom view (MyView), therefore you seem to already know about views. Maybe you have a problem with this particular field, but unfortunately, you asked a general question instead of describing your problem.
