Hello experts,

We have a need to add revisions to our exisiting project budgets. (in bulk) I have already looked at open in excel/data management. I dont see the same fields. Don't these data entities exist? For eg, in data management page I dont see the correct mappings. I have tried every entity with project budget revision/revision lines. What am I missing?

If somebody had tried this before, let me know. Thanks in advance.

It's not always possible to update all fields in all tables with data entities due to certain restrictions of the data entity framework, the design of the underlying data structure, related business logic and or validations on the data. Can the budgets be edited manually? If so (I assume so), what are the steps to do that? I think someone should investigate which business logic is involved, if any. Theoretically it's possible to create a update script to do it for you.

Hi @Anton Venter, Yes. We can do it manually. But since there are a lot of revisions to be done, there was a question if this could be done for eg through open in excel or a import.

Seeing your answer, I realized I missed to mention that we do have a workflow. After a revision, normally the user has to submit through the workflow. Maybe that explains the restrictions?
