Good morning D365 Community !

Would someone explain the functionality of the "Unique" option in Organization administration > Global Address Book > Registration Types?

Hi,

In case the Unique field is enabled for the registration type rule, during data entry of registration IDs, it will validate if there is another party where the same registration number is used for this registration type and with in the country. If so, you will receive an error and you need to check which record is correct. So, it also acts as a duplicate check.
