Email template not showing in print management

Hi everyone,

I created email template in Organisation email templates and Systems email templates but it's not showing when I tried configure in print magement

It's not showing up in report format, it shows other report. I don't know where these reports from.

Please help if anyone can give me inside how to modify this report.

The reason is that these are two different things. You've defined an e-mail template but you're selecting the report to be printed, not an e-mail template.

Then you ask how to modify a report, which sounds completely unrelated to e-mail templates. I think you should start from the beginning and tell us what you're actually trying to achieve.

Hi,

I agree with Martin and its very basic.

Email template and report template/format is different and you will never find email template in print management.

I am trying to update the body of the email. Where can I edit the email body? and where can I select which email body for FTI?

You mean that you want to change the email body generated when printing an SSRS report to email. Unfortunately, you can't use email templates there, as far as I know. If you want that, you can install the free version of Docentric and utilize theirs report email templates.

Regarding System email templates, they're used at several places in the application, such as workflows or System administration > Periodic tasks > Email processing > Email broadcast. Also note that system email templates aren't the only ones; you may also be interested in Organization administration > Setup > Organization email templates.

I have existing email template, and I know how to change the email body, but I don't know where to change the existing template.

The existing templates were not showing in Organisation email templates or System email templates.

In addition to the feedback from Martin and Ramit, you can also consider using Business Documents, which allow you to utilize Electronic Reporting (ER) Destinations to send documents directly via email.

To add to what Martin said, to modify the report you need to do it by redesigning the KPMGFreeTextInvoice.Report or MarkupPeriodChargeFreeTextInvoice.Report in Visual Studio. You can modify the design and add or remove custom code on the data provider class or the uibuilder class, depending on your requirement. These are print management or what we call Form Letter framework customizable stationary reports available for modification through the SSRS reporting framework in D365 FO. You can email these reports through the D365 FO emailing framework through the destination @Email@ which you have already set, as per the screen clip Print Management setup.

Email template you will not be able to find it under the Print management or Form Letter framework in D365 FO. These are templates that have an independent structure like a subject line, body and can be modified using HTML tags or placeholders. These are primarily useful in D365 FO workflows and can also be used to send out notifications etc.
