Hello,

We are currently using Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and evaluating payroll options.

I understand that Dynamics 365 HR provides employee management capabilities, but I am looking for clarification on payroll processing.

Does Microsoft provide a native payroll solution for D365 Finance & Operations?
If not, what payroll solutions are organizations using today?

Can employees access payslips, leave balances, loan requests, and other payroll-related information through an Employee Self-Service portal?
How do companies handle country-specific payroll regulations, tax calculations, overtime, and vacation pay?

Are there any solutions that integrate directly with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations without requiring a separate payroll platform?

I would appreciate hearing about real-world experiences and recommendations.

Hello,

D365FO offers payroll options, but they are rarely implemented as each country has its own specific rules for payroll calculations and withholdings.

The usual alternatives for payroll are therefore:

Integrate D365FO with an external payroll system and import only the general ledger entries (very common).

Customize D365FO for salary calculations.

Hi,

Dynamics 365 Human Resources contains payroll features, but that was for US and Canada only. Microsoft stopped providing tax updates several years ago. They now rely on ISV partners for local payroll solutions. You can check on Microsoft Appsource/Marketplace if a payroll solution is available for your country.
