AR - eInvoice attachment parameter

Hello everyone,

We have a requirement to automatically add a .pdf file of the invoice as an attachment to the invoice journal. I've noticed that there's a parameter on the customer record which I would expect does just that:

2020_2D00_01_2D00_30_5F00_13_2D00_12_2D00_03.jpg

However when posting a sales (or project) invoice there is no attachment added to the invoice header in the invoice journal.

Therefor: can anyone tell me what this parameter does? Microsoft documentation doesn't mention anything about this parameter.

Thanks in advance!

Thomas

The attachment is only for Original prints, non-proforma.

There are few other factors also that decide whether an attachment will be used or not.

Debugging in to the class method DocumentAttachment.attachDocument() will reveal the issue.

You have to start from either CustPrintOutInvoice.sendAsXML() or SalesInvoiceJournalPrint.sendAsXML()

    Hello Thomas,

The attachment is created as a document attachment that you can find in the invoice journal form for your customer.

You have to do two things though:

    1. Send the invoice => This creates the electronic invoice (usually as an XML file)

    2. print the invoice => This creates the document attachment in the invoice journal form.

The problem is that the e-invoice is recorded in the electronic reporting print form in the Organisation Admin module while the document attachment is created in the customer invoice form as document attachment.

Yet, you can create both on SharePoint by specifying an electronic reporting print destination.

From SharePoint you can then distribute those documents to your customers.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Tested and confirmed working. Printing the invoice causes the .pdf to be added as attachment. Thanks Ludwig!
