Need all procurement related table names and fields

Hello Forum members,

Can you please let me know where can i find the list of all the tables with their field description for AX 2012.

Basically, i want to fetch the procurement related tables from Axapta and i dont exactly which tables in Axapta contain general ledger information, cost center information, profit centre etc

Hi Abhi,

To be honest, I do think with a list, you will be lost anyway. There might be 200 tables, 100 temporary tables and over 3000 fields involved. Your question is very broad.

Can you tell what you want to do with this list? You used a tag called 'Connector for CRM'. Are you trying to create an integration between AX 2012 and CRM?

If you know the forms and processes, you can reverse engineer which tables and fields are used here. From there learn the data model.

You can also have a look at a deprecated ERD page. Alex Meyer has a copy of it hosted on his personal blog space: alexdmeyer.com/.../

This is based on "a" version on AX 2012 R2 and might have differences with your AX 2012 environment. Namely if you are on AX 2012 R3 where advanced warehouse and transportation management were introduced.

Thanks a lot Andre! ERD page looks very helpful.

Actually i want to extract below information out of Axapta 2012 to build a spend datawarehouse. I am not sure in which tables i can find the following data -

Cost Center Information

Profit center Information

Payment term Information

Incoterm Information

Currency exchange rates

I already know that invoice level information i can find in VENDINVOICEJOUR and order level i can find in PURCHTABLE

Hi Abhi,

This is another resource that might help:

Application Tables

For example, Payment Term information is found in the PaymTerm table:
docs.microsoft.com/.../gg878312(v=ax.60)

This relates back to the VendInvoiceJour table on the Payment field:

Currency Exchange Rates are found in the ExchangeRate table:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamics/ax-2012/reference/gg953254(v=ax.60)

Maybe dig around here a bit (with Visual Studio open as another reference) and see if that helps locate the information you're looking for.

Thanks Lucas, Can you also tell me where i can find the cost center and profit center information?

That would be super cool as i am not able to find it in all the lists.

Hi Abhi,

The cost centers are stored in the table OMOperatingUnit which not only contains cost centers, but also other internal operating units like departments and business units. So, you have to filter on the type. However, it might also be setup as a dimension in your environment.

Is the profit center a financial dimension or a customization?

Thanks a lot Andre :-) My cost center issue is now resolved.

Unfortunately, i am not sure whether the profit center is FD or a customization. I expect it to be a FD though.
