Entra ID tenant

Yesterday I received an email from Microsoft with the subject line reading "Action required: Make a purchase by July 2, 2025 to continue using your tenant".
Further it read "You are receiving this email because your associated Microsoft Entra ID tenant (tenant ID (details removed) has been inactive for more than 200 days.
Required action: To continue using your tenant, make a purchase before July 2, 2025. If you don’t make a purchase before this date, your next purchase with Microsoft will require a new Microsoft Entra ID tenant to continue using Microsoft services".
 
I tried to resolve this yesterday through support in order to put the issue to sleep but made very little headway.   So my question is if I wait this out until the next renewal is organizing a new Entra ID tenant simple enough?   Or will it cause me a lot of grief?  I am a Microsoft 365 customer/

    1. Recommended: Making any paid purchase (even a $1 Azure service) before July 2, 2025, will preserve your existing tenant and avoid disruption.

    2. If You Wait Until Renewal:
    • Creating a new Entra ID tenant is technically simple
    • BUT it will cause significant disruption:
      • All user identities, permissions, and access will need to be recreated
      • All app registrations and service principals will break
      • All conditional access policies and security configurations will be lost
      • Microsoft 365 ties to your original tenant will require complex migration
    Recommended: Purchase the cheapest Azure service (like Basic Blob Storage for $0.01/day) immediately to maintain your tenant. This is significantly easier than tenant migration.

    Hmmm,
    I just tried to make that suggested purchase and the sign in failed due to inactivity.   Yet the email I received yesterday reads "To continue using your tenant, make a purchase before July 2, 2025"     
    Any suggestions appreciated.
