Community engagement portal

Hi,
Does anyone know if Dynamics 365 CRM can work as a community engagement portal where members can share ideas, email, forums, bulletin boards, interact, collaborate etc
Similar to other community platforms like Aluminati, to some extent Reddit or Discord but within our MS 365 ecosystem. Or other alumni engagement platforms
Is the Dynamics 365 Customer Service Community suitable for our needs or would you recommend something else?

We currently use Dynamic 365 CRM Sales Enterprise to manage our alumni database. This administration work is done by our internal staff.
We are interested in enhancing our Dynamics 365 CRM to allow alumni to login to a web portal to engage with staff and fellow alumni.

Features we are interested in are
  • Using alumni records from our current Dynamics 365 CRM database
  • A mandatory privacy and GDPR policy that all alumni have to accept before being granted access
  • Allowing Alumni to update their profile (picture, name, location, profession etc)
  • Creating country groups that are moderated by ambassadors. Ambassadors are alumni who are appointed to oversee activities in that country
  • Activity, project, and interest groups that any alumni can join
  • Global directory of alumni allowing alumni to search our past students by name, year, country of origin etc
  • Email between alumni and staff. Preferably, the email address should be hidden.
I've already reached out to some Microsoft Solutions providers but I have not had many replies. Two out of six requests sent. So that leads me to believe it might not be possible.
I want to know if Dynamics CRM 365 is easily capable of achieving my needs, if it is not capable of doing what I need without major investment or am I better off buying a proper community engagement portal
Regards,
Michael

    Hi Michael,
Maybe you can know about Power Pages.
Microsoft Power Pages is a secure, enterprise-grade, low-code software as a service (SaaS) platform for creating, hosting, and administering modern external-facing business websites.
With Power Pages, you can build sites by using the same shared business data stored in Microsoft Dataverse
You mentioned that you have Dynamic 365 CRM Sales Enterprise license.
Also, it provides Dynamics 365 templates to build sites:

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
