Copy into legal entity - Default refresh type (Incremental Push only / Full push only) Option

In D365 F&O I am using Copy into Legal Entity in Data Management Module

I have 3 companies, my requirement is move the data from Company1 to Company2 and Company3. The best wat to do is using 'Copy into legal Entity' Option provided by Microsoft.

In the target entity change tracking is enabled, But on moving data it is taking all the records and there is no option like 'Default refresh type' which exists in Export / Import project.

Is there any configuration to make Copy Into Legal Entity supports incremental push?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Dhivya Vasudevan,

Change tracking enables incremental export of data from Finance and Operations apps by using Data management. In an incremental export, only records that have changed are exported.

The first run of an incremental push is always a full push. It’s logical since the destination database has no records so all data is considered new changes.

For exporting data and incremental push, you can take a look at this blog:

See here for the method of Copy Into Legal Entity:

    Best Regards,

    Hi Judy,

Thanks for your reply, the explanation was very clear. But I tried with less data it is still taking all the records for processing. Have you tried this option before with your data?. I don't know why I am not getting. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

As far as I read from the documents, copy legal entity is only full push. Copies all the data and if same data exist in the copied company,  it updates the data.

Hi Billur, Yes you are right there is no feature for Incremental push I tried many times, if the feature is released by Microsoft it will be helpful for Data Migration between legal entities.

    Hi Dhivya,

If you need incremental sync, you can consider using cross company data sharing, a Power Automate flow which can read the incremental changes from a BYOD database or look for a Master Data Management add-on on AppSource. At To-Increase, we also offer a MDM solution with also options for data quality and data entry workflow.

The cross company data sharing has some downsides as it doesn't support Dual Write and copying of default dimension values.

Hi André, Thanks for your sharing your opinion with both pros and cons. Will try that too and let you know.
