Data Entity Refresh Error

Hello tech junkies,
I'd appreciate your thougths on this:

Recently upgrading to 8.1. After the upgrade, we ran a data entity refresh. Upon checking the entity list, none of the custom entities appear in the entity list. It appears that all the objects behind the custom entities still exist, but their record in the DMFEntity table no longer exists. 

An error is thrown

Error message: Cannot create a record in Target XML (DMFTargetXML). Entity: ADW_EcoResProductTransactionEntity, DESCRIPTION. The record already exists Repro steps: Refresh data entities, then error is thrown. Still says Entity list refreshed successfully

    Delete ADW_EcoResProductTransactionEntity from the entity list and refresh again.

    Thank you for the response. The issue is that the entity does not appear on the entity list, nor does appear in the DMFEntity table.

    Please check that you don't have multiple entities that have the same label text than ADW_EcoResProductTransactionEntity. That would cause the error that you describe.

    Yeah looks like a bug, index is on entity name. You can check if you have copied an entity and didn't change the label. Still if you can't find out, you can go ahead create the entry manually.

    Actually it's not a bug since the entity name from the entity list is used as part of the recurring integration endpoint URL. So it has to be unique or you would have issues if you used two entities with the same name on the same data project.

    But I don't know whose idea it was to use the entity name (=label text) instead of the AOT name in the recurring data job URL.

    It was throwing error for some reason even if you don't have the duplicate label.
