Free Text Invoice - missing entity?

I used to be able to download entities for Free Text Invoice Headers and separately for Free Text Invoice Lines - and join them in PowerBI to be able to see all the descriptions on the invoice lines themselves. On our 10.0.12 Dynamics System, I can see FreeTextnvoiceStaging and that's complete. However, the only entity that now appears to contain FreeText Invoice lines is "Free text invoice line transaction tax information", which contains zero records.

Any ideas where the populated table of free text invoice lines exists these days?

Hi Ian,

I can still see the two entities - FreeTextInvoiceHeaderEntity (label : Customer free text invoice) and FreeTextInvoiceLineEntity (Label : Customer free text invoice lines).

Hiya,

I can see:

Customer free text invoice (staging table is FreeTextInvoiceStaging) - 29,705 records
Free text invoice form printing configurations (staging table is CustFormletterCustomerFreeTextInvoiceFormPrintingConfigurationStaging)
Free text invoice line transaction tax information (staging table is TaxFreeTextInvoiceLineTransTaxInformationStaging) - 0 records

There is no FreeTextInvoiceLineEntity in the Entity List in Data Managerment.

We're running Dynamics Finance 10.0.12 (10.0.507.10054)

A couple of CDS related ones are present:

CDS customer free text invoice headers (20,079 records)
CDS customer free text invoice lines (0 records)

So, unsure which way to go from here.

Hi Ian,

Go to Workspaces > Data management > Framework parameters > Entity settings > Refresh entity list.

Workspaces > Data management > Data entities. You can check if you can find the entities in this list now.

It seems, free text invoice data entity is missing in your DMF.

All refreshed (thank you for the advice) but still no Free Text Invoice Lines Entity:

CDS customer free text invoice headers
CDS customer free text invoice lines
Customer free text invoice
Free text invoice form printing configurations
Free text invoice line transaction tax information

are the only entities containing "free text" in the entity list.

Any other ideas?

Hi Ian,

From the data entities screen, can you try adding manually (using the new button) and see if you can see the entity in the drop down list?

Hi Ian,

There are 3 entities for free text invoices, but only 1 of them available for data management.

FreeTextInvoiceEntity - visible in data entity list, header + lines are combined (data management is available)

FreeTextInvoiceHeaderEntity - not visible in data entity list (data management is not available)

FreeTextInvoiceLineEntity - not visible in data entity list (data management is not available)

Are you sure you saw them in the list before?

Also, you can download data to PowerBI through oData entities directly.

Can you tell me what was the data entity name it is missing in 10.0.12?

I have both version now, I can compare.
