I want to be able to default the 'Post' activity on the Timeline when it is on a Task Form but there seems to be some limitation on only having 'Notes' in the Timeline. I have confirmed in other Entity Forms that the full-featured Activity list is available (Email/Call/Task). Is there any way around this limitation (that isn't documented anywhere that I can find [sigh]

My solution is in a Dynamics365 enabled environment, building on the Customer Service app.

    Hi,

    1.Go to Advanced Settings>Activity Feeds Configuration>Task

    2. On the ribbon, select Activate, and then confirm the activation.

3.Go to the Task Form designer and /Post/ is added to the Timeline.

    4. Clear your browser's cache and then in the app, you can add post in the timeline of the task entity record.

Thanks for your answer (@Dengliang_Li), I keep trying to mark it as best answer but it just spins and spins!

In your screenshots (very helpful, thank you!), you have a step after step #2 that appears to say to Deactivate the Post configuration that was Activated in Step #2 or maybe you are showing what it looks like after it is activated? Basically, once I activated the Post Configuration on Task, Posts became available on the Timeline.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Yes, as you said, the image I showed in step 2, shows the state after it was activated.

    Best Regards,
    Dengliang Li
