Hi All

I'm trying to getting this error in one of our companies

I have posted IC sales invoice from company A but when I try to accept the Purchase invoice in Company B I'm getting this error:

You need to create the dimension in both the company first. and then try.

Check with the developer, but I would suggest ensuring that all the required dimensions are present at both the header and line levels in both companies.

The Issue presented is that the Dimension and Dimension Values are not processed through to the Intercompany Outbox transactions.

The majority of the times I have seen issues with Dimensions and Intercompany is that setup is incomplete.   The key with Dimensions and Intercompany postings is that the required “two-way street” must be established for Dimensions to be passed effectively. This “two-way street” must be completed in all companies used in the Intercompany flow of entries. By the term “two-way street”, I mean the following:

1)     The Intercompany Dimensions and Dimension Values must be setup and then mapped to the Individual Company’s Dimensions and Dimension Values Setup Tables within each individual company

2)     Each Company must then have its Dimensions and Dimension Values mapped to the IC Dimensions and Dimension Values.

Without the dual-mapping of Dimension and Dimension Values back and forth between the Company Dimensions and the IC Dimensions (and related Dimension Values), the system cannot complete the processing of passing Dimension data from one company, through the Outbox, to the other company’s inbox, and posted into the General Ledger Entries Table with the mapped dimensions.

In both of the individual Companies, make sure that you complete a Show Column in the Dimension and Dimension Values. You will see setup for IC Dimension and Dimension Values. In the Intercompany Dimension Setup, make sure that you show columns and make sure to add the Dimension and Dimension Value Mapping columns for the individual company's Dimension and Dimension Values.
